Unconfined Disposal Site
130 – Barnegat Beach
Barnegat Beach is a 2.0 acre NJDEP-owned unconfined disposal site. It is located Ocean Township in an area known as Waretown, approximately a mile east of route 9 and 500 feet west of the Barnegat Bay. Access to the site can only be gained from the south from Tuscarora Avenue. Camp Lighthouse Road can provide access from the north but the road is blocked off. Access is restricted and open only to those who are participating in the Lighthouse Center for Natural Resource Education program. GPS and sediment data were not collected for the site. |
