Confined Disposal Site
159 – Silver Bay
Silver Bay is a confined disposal site in Toms River Twp. The site is a 10-acre disposal site located north of the corner of Christopher Terrace and Middle Drive. The northern and eastern sides of the site border Silver Bay. The site has confinement on all sides and some dredge material has been placed in the northern cell. The rest of the interior contains either rainwater or tidal water from Silver Bay. There is a break in the berm along the northeast corner where tidal water from Silver Bay can flow in and out. The backyards of four houses along Middle Drive create another break in the berm wall along the southern border for direct freshwater runoff. GPS and sediment data were not collected for the site. |
