Unconfined Disposal Site

261 – Bonnett Island

Bonnet Island is a privately-owned unconfined disposal site (UDS) in Stafford Township. The 1.0 acre site is located 0.2 miles northwest of route 72, and its eastern shore borders Barnegat Bay. The site is very small and moderately vegetated; sandy material most likely was placed there during the development of the channels supporting the vessel navigation needs to and from the development to the east. The site was visited, but GPS and sediment data were not collected.
