93 – Goosebar Sedge
Goosebar Sedge is a 2.28 acre NJDEP owned unconfined disposal site (UDS) in Little Egg Harbor Township, Ocean County, NJ. It is located 0.75 miles west of the Borough of Beach Haven on Long Beach Island on Goosebar Sedge Island in Barnegat Bay. It is adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway (NJIWW) and appears to be a legacy site. No soil samples or spatial data was collected at the site. There are ruins along the western channel that point to some form of landing on the island a long time ago on the southwest corner of the area of disturbance by dredge material placement. Full sized trees cluster around this old dock providing another clue to the length of time since any work was done at this site.
